How can we better understand health - not only in the doctor’s office, but also in everyday life? In her talk, Daria Hemmerling will show how multimodal digital phenotyping makes it possible to capture subtle signals from the human body by combining data from wearable devices, immersive environments, and speech analysis.

She will discuss studies in which we analyse children’s speech at the level of individual sounds to better understand communicative development, as well as how heart sounds - supported by machine learning - can help detect congenital defects at an early stage.

This is a story about how data, technology, and an interdisciplinary approach are transforming the future of diagnostics, making it more accessible, continuous, and human-centred.
