1.What Mental Toughness Is and Is NotMental toughness is often misunderstood as being unaffected by stress or emotions. In reality, it is the ability to adapt, stay flexible, and return to balance when facing challenges.During this workshop, we will explore the 4C Model of Mental Toughness, with a particular focus on two areas that are especially relevant in technology environments: Emotional Control and Confidence.

2. Emotional Control – What Are Your Emotions Telling You?In fast-paced and highly analytical environments, emotions are often overlooked. However, emotions provide valuable information about our needs and can help us better understand our reactions to challenging situations.Using principles from Nonviolent Communication (NVC), participants will explore the connection between workplace situations, emotions, and underlying needs.Topics include:
  • Recognizing emotions without judgment
  • Understanding the needs behind emotional responses
  • Reframing workplace challenges through greater self-awareness
3. Confidence – Your Personal Algorithm for SuccessConfidence is not a fixed trait; it develops through recognizing and acknowledging our capabilities, actions, and achievements.Participants will reflect on professional accomplishments and identify the impact of their contributions on projects, teams, and organizations.Topics include:
  • Building confidence through evidence-based self-reflection
  • Recognizing personal strengths and achievements
  • Developing a stronger sense of personal agency
4. WOOP: Turning Resilience into ActionResilience grows through intentional action and preparation. The WOOP framework helps translate goals into practical plans. The framework consists of:
  • Wish – What do I want to achieve?
  • Outcome – What positive result do I want to create?
  • Obstacle – What internal challenge may stand in my way?
  • Plan – What specific action will I take when that obstacle appears?
Participants will create a personal resilience plan to apply during the coming week.5. Wrap-UpMental toughness is not a destination but a continuous learning process.By strengthening emotional awareness, building confidence, and creating practical action plans, we can increase our ability to navigate challenges, adapt to change, and perform effectively in demanding environments.
