Breaking Barriers: Reflecting on the Success of the First Edition of the “Write Your Future” Program

As the first edition of Write Your Future. Be the Author of Your Future concludes, we at the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, together with Lancôme, are proud to celebrate its remarkable achievements. Championed by none other than Iga Świątek, the phenomenal tennis superstar and program ambassador, this initiative has proven to be a transformative force in empowering young women from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in technology and digital marketing.

A Journey of Empowerment

Launched with the mission of breaking barriers, Write Your Future aimed to support women, especially those from smaller towns and less affluent families, by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in the tech world. This program wasn’t just about education; it was about rewriting futures.

Hanna Siuta, Brand Manager for Lancôme in Poland & Baltics HUB, reflects on the program’s impact:

“With proper support and education, barriers that might hinder young women from less privileged families and smaller towns can be overcome.”

The program successfully equipped participants with the skills they need to navigate and excel in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Addressing the Gender Divide

Women from underserved regions face unique challenges, such as limited access to advanced education and professional networks. These obstacles, coupled with entrenched stereotypes about career paths, can seem insurmountable. The Write Your Future program tackled these issues head-on through remote courses and the guidance of expert female mentors and role models.

Bianka Siwińska, head of the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, emphasizes the program’s deeper purpose:

“Programs like Write Your Future level professional opportunities for women in the tech market and reduce the gender digital divide, especially in regions of Poland where gender-based divisions in interests, fields of study, or career paths are still pronounced. By providing access to knowledge and tools, these programs enable women to thrive in digital marketing and related fields.”

A Legacy of Change

Looking back on the first edition, it’s clear that Write Your Future has become more than a skills development program—it’s a movement. It has empowered women, created role models, and laid the foundation for sustainable social change. By equipping participants to succeed, the program has also strengthened their local communities and economies.

Bianka Siwińska shares her hopes for the program’s ongoing influence:

“I hope this crucial and valuable program will allow participants to transform their professional lives, challenge social stereotypes, and gain self-confidence and agency.”

Why Initiatives Like This Matter

The need for programs like Write Your Future is as pressing as ever. Despite progress, women continue to face barriers in technology-related careers, from gender stereotypes to a lack of mentors. By offering technical training and fostering a supportive community, this initiative has bridged those gaps, creating a pipeline of future female leaders in tech and digital marketing.

In the long term, such initiatives enhance workplace innovation by introducing diverse perspectives and ideas. They also help businesses become more competitive and forward-thinking by fostering a culture of inclusivity.

Looking Ahead

As we close the first chapter of Write Your Future, we are filled with pride and gratitude. The program’s success underscores the power of collaboration between organizations like Lancôme and the Perspektywy Educational Foundation. Together, we have demonstrated that when businesses and non-profits unite, extraordinary things can happen.

With Iga Świątek as a shining ambassador and the continued commitment of all involved, Write Your Future has laid the groundwork for a brighter, more inclusive future. We look forward to expanding this initiative, reaching even more women, and continuing to rewrite the narrative—one success story at a time.
