Preparations for Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2025 are in full swing! Our team is already working hard on an exciting agenda, searching for passionate speakers who will bring fresh perspectives, energy, and innovative ideas on topics such as technology, science, innovation, gender equality, and women’s empowerment.

In January, at the invitation of an inspiring group of women working at CERN, Dr. Bianka Siwińska, CEO of Perspektywy Women in Tech, and Natalia Ćwik, Head of Summit Program, had the incredible opportunity to visit one of the most important scientific and technological institutions in the world, where the boundaries of our understanding of matter and the universe are constantly being pushed. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Natalia Diana Szczepanek, a Scientific Computing & Data Analytics Engineer, for organizing this unforgettable visit!

During their visit, Bianka and Natalia presented to around 90 people at CERN, mostly women, including several Polish-origin experts. They shared insights about the Perspektywy Educational Foundation and the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit – the largest Women in Tech & IT conference in Europe! The enthusiasm in the room was truly inspiring, and the discussion stretched well beyond the scheduled time. A key point of conversation was CERN’s "25 by 25" strategy, which aims to achieve 25% female employees by 2025—and they are already very close to reaching this goal! It was incredibly motivating to see their commitment in action.

They also had the great honor of meeting Enrica Porcari, Head of the IT Department at CERN, followed by a fascinating visit to the Antimatter Factory, where they explored the Antiproton Decelerator, a one-of-a-kind machine that produces low-energy antiprotons for antimatter studies and even creates antiatoms.

One of the most unforgettable moments was their meeting with Fabiola Gianotti, Director General of CERN. During this inspiring conversation, Dr. Bianka Siwińska personally invited CERN to take part in the Summit and send an official delegation. Adding to the excitement, Dr. Malika Meddahi confirmed that she will be joining us as a keynote speaker!

We also had a great meeting with Sofia Vallecorsa, Coordinator of the CERN Quantum Technology Initiative, and Enrique Rico Ortega, a scientist at CERN, discussing quantum science, which this year will be the focus of the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2025.

Of course, no visit to CERN would be complete without exploring one of its most legendary sites – the ATLAS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. Seeing this monumental project up close was absolutely breathtaking and gave Bianka and Natalia a deeper appreciation of the sheer scale and impact of the research being conducted at CERN.

It was an incredibly inspiring day, filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and unforgettable experiences. CERN is not only a hub for brilliant scientific minds, but also a place that actively fosters opportunities for women in STEM, which is something we deeply value. We are beyond excited to continue this collaboration and can’t wait to welcome CERN to Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2025! 🚀✨
