Fatima Turgunbaeva, Software Engineer at Bayer Digital Hub:
Two years ago, I and 17 girls from Kyrgyzstan came to Poland for the Perspektywy Women in Tech summit with a scholarship. This scholarship covered almost all of our expenses. I was going everywhere, asking everyone for advice, learning about companies, registering, and leaving my contacts, and resumes everywhere.
A few months later I received an email from Bayer DHub that they had new vacancies open. I applied and went through all the interviews and got an offer, so I moved to Warsaw three months ago.
Last time I was at the summit as a "participant", and this year already as an "exhibitor". To be honest, I couldn't even think about it. My plans were completely different, but as they say, the plans of God are always better than ours. When I stood at our DHub booth, I had a slightly unusual feeling in my soul.
Julia Wilk, Engineer, ŁUKASIEWICZ Research Network - Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements PIAP:
At Summit, for the first time I had the opportunity to talk to employers and company representatives, and it turned out that it was exactly for a person like me.
Maike Klement, IT Chief of Staff at Deloitte:
I knew what my end goal was - sitting on a board - but I had no idea what I needed to do to get there. The master class at WiT conference and the resulting participation in EWOB showed me, what my roadmap could look like and what skills I had to put on top of my list to acquire if I wanted to get considered.
