Dr. Bianka Siwińska, the President of the Perspektywy Educational Foundation and Perspektywy Women in Tech, has been appointed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski to the Digitalization Council.
The new Council focuses on wise, innovative, and socially sensitive courses of action. On Women, on STEM/IT competencies and talents from Poland and the East. On education and research in the field of quantum technologies. Poland as a European IT Hub, on migrant women from Ukraine as a huge potential for skilled workers in technological companies – said Dr. Bianka Siwińska – We also aim to promote knowledge about the possibilities of a technological career in public service. So that the solutions and security of Digital Poland are created by the best. We want transparency and a new quality of communication with all stakeholders. Oh, and I almost forgot: our new composition has replaced a total of three gentlemen… IN THE ERA OF DIGITIZATION, THE TIME FOR WOMEN HAS COME!
It is worth adding that Dr. Bianka Siwińska has also been appointed the Head of the Team for Quantum Technologies of the Digitization Council, where she will cooperate with leading experts from NASK, IBM, Quantum AI, and Digital Poland.
Classical physics and quantum physics exist separately but parallel. For us, they are tools to understand the macro and micro world, depending on the needs. The world in which things are defined and the one where everything is possible. Both possibilities are true – as much as a theory can be true – so, until some other one is proven correct.
Read her fascinating text about quantum and qubits as well as an interview with Dr. Magdalena Tokaj from Kornblit about the potential of women in the development of quantum technologies.
This is a new field that is not yet mastered by men, so women will not have to break through again. This is a field where we can start equally and co-create together. Without domination of either gender. (...) We want women to have an impact on technologies, not just introduce them. So that they are aware of their influence. They felt a sense of responsibility and commitment to make a positive impact.
