The 5th edition of "Seminar for Computer Science Researchers" was held on the 13th of June. This esteemed event enjoys great popularity, each year gathering scientists and researchers from the best universities, research institutions, and representatives of high - tech companies from all over the world. The Seminar also hosts respected special guests – researchers whose names are recognizable globally.
The Seminar is devoted specifically to the professional careers of women researchers in the field of computer science and related fields, and is an opportunity to present research projects and establish valuable scientific contacts. Its participants are researchers and scientists from universities and tech companies from Poland and abroad.

The previous Seminar editions were attended by special guests among others: prof. Maria Klawe, rector of Harvey Mudd College (United States), prof. Marta Kwiatkowska, Oxford University (UK), prof. Margot Gerritsen, Stanford University (United States), prof. Ivona Brandic, Vienna University of Technology (Austria).

This year Seminar hosted special guests – Austrian scientist prof. em. Christiane Floyd (the very first female professor of computer science in Germany, and a pioneer of evolutionary participatory software design - a precursor to open-source software development) and dr Clara Nellist, particle physicist from CERN. Prof. Floyd gave keynote speech STEPS to human-centered software development. Dr Clara Nellist was presenting From Particles to Petabytes: Big Data at CERN topic.

There was also a panel discussion "The Future of Data Science and Emerging Trends in the Field" with participation of prof. em. Christiane Floyd, University of Hamburg, Pamela Krzypkowska, Director of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Digital Affairs (Poland), Dr Inez Okulska, NLP Assistant Professor at NASK Science and Head of hAI Magazine (Poland) and Dr. Klaudia Krawiecka, Researcher, Meta (UK).

Another interesting part of the Seminar was the presentation of research projects by eleven researchers from universities and institutions (5 minutes lightning talks). There were such presentations topics as, for example: "FOMO and its Emotional Correlates", "Implementing Blockchain Technology in Medical Data Management", "Ethical Integration of Generative AI into Academic Research", "Unsupervised Learning Methods – Theory and Practice" or "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Education Process".
The partner of the Seminar was The Austrian Culture Forum in Warsaw.
We would like to invite professors, scientists, researchers, and doctoral students for the 6th Seminar for Computer Science Researchers” that will be held during "Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit" next year.
