When I joined Netflix as the Director of Big Data Platform, we were evolving from a domestic DVD service into a global streaming company, and our data wasn't just growing—it was a tidal wave. My proudest achievement was leading our transition to a cloud-native analytics data architecture on AWS.
Today, I lead the Online Data Stores and Data Movement team. Our mission is to ensure that as millions of members join us from every corner of the globe, our backbone data infrastructure remains both lightning-fast and entirely invisible. The Data Platform is at the center of enhancing our content decisions and powering the personalized experiences that bring stories to life.
Unlocking business value at a scale that’s never been done before requires more than technical skill; it requires curiosity, selflessness, great judgment, and the courage to take smart risks. Netflix culture truly enables us to do the best work of our lives.
My all-time Netflix favorites are La Casa de Papel, KPop Demon Hunters, and BTS Arirang live event. My most important roles happen off-screen: I am a daughter, a wife, and a mom to a teenage boy.
