I started with cosmetology. Then came the pandemic, boredom and friends who pulled me into the world of IT - and I’ve never left. Starting with SQL, Python and landing in data engineering, finance, retail tech. Self-taught, no computer science background, no roadmap. Today I built a platform that deploys cutting-edge software to more than 40,000 devices across countries.
I’ve been the only woman in the room more than once. I know what it takes to prepare - mentally and professionally - to feel equal. Not better, not worse. Equal. AI didn’t give me knowledge, it gave me a voice. The ability to ask a question at 2 a.m. without shame, to work through uncertainty before walking into the room, to see more in the data than I could see alone.
I believe a product manager is not a project manager with a Jira board - they’re someone who designs systems and treats a product like a craft. My path has been unconventional. And that’s exactly why I have something to say to every person who feels stuck - not from lack of competence, but lack of confidence.
