Dr Marta Wachowicz is an expert in the commercialization of scientific results and intellectual property management with extensive experience in the high-tech sector, she earned a PhD in physics with distinction from the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. She gained education in R&D management, intellectual property protection, company valuation, and research commercialization (participation in the first edition of the government's TOP 500 Innovators program and completion of the Science-Management-Commercialization program at Stanford University in California in 2011). Dr Wachowicz was actively involved in the foundational creation of the Polish Space Agency and its operational model; for three years, she headed the Department of Strategy and International Cooperation at the Polish Space Agency. She has experience working in research institutions (the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences), public administration (Polish Police Headquarters, Polish Space Agency), non-governmental organizations (Foundation for Polish Science), and the private sector (R&D management).
