Kasia Trapszo is a Principal Engineer at Netflix, where she leads architecture for the company's commerce platform, the systems behind how hundreds of millions of members subscribe, pay, and manage their accounts across 190+ countries. Over 11+ years at Netflix, she started in payments and grew into working on the broader commerce platform architecture. Before Netflix, her career took her through early-stage startups, the banking sector, and building engineering teams from scratch, a path that left her with a deep appreciation for solutions that survive contact with production. She's passionate about IC technical leadership and proving you don't need a management title to drive meaningful change. When not thinking about distributed systems, she's usually on a trail somewhere, trying to run up a mountain before it runs out of mountain.
