Aldona Chmielewska works in clinical oncology research at AstraZeneca, focusing on Phase I–III trials. She earned her PhD in Cell Biology from University College London.
She coordinates the Rare Diseases Group at GCPpl and represents patients within the European ERN-ITHACA network, promoting patient involvement in rare disease research and therapy development.
She is President of AGO Alliance Poland and Science Officer at the Swiss AGO Alliance Foundation, where she supports the development of therapies for AGO syndrome through international collaborations and research initiatives.
She is also the mother of three children, including her 7-year-old son Albert, who lives with AGO syndrome
