Zübeyde Civelek is a Full-Stack Software Engineer at CERN, contributing to InvenioRDM (a framework for research data management), CERN Document Server, and the CERN Videos platform. Her work focuses on large-scale digital repository systems, scientific video platforms, metadata transformation, data migration, and open-source research infrastructure. She has contributed to the migration of thousands of scientific records, the development of video platform features, and backend/frontend improvements across CERN repository services.
She has experience with Python, Flask, React, JavaScript, OpenSearch, digital libraries, migration tooling, UI/GUI development, and scientific software engineering. Before joining CERN, she completed her Computer Engineering degree and gained experience in full-stack development, scientific GUIs, mobile applications, embedded systems, and machine learning. She is passionate about building software that supports science, sharing knowledge, and encouraging young women to grow confidently in technology.
