Kasia Pokorska is Head of the Finance and Administrative Processes department at CERN, where she oversees the Organization’s financial strategy and operations in a highly international and complex environment. With over 20 years at CERN, she has contributed to shaping the financial foundations that support some of the world’s most advanced scientific programmes.
Originally trained in computer science, Kasia began her career in technology before moving into finance, bringing with her a strong interest in how digital tools can transform the way organisations plan, manage, and make decisions. Throughout her career, she has focused on modernising financial systems, improving transparency, and leveraging data to support decision-making.
As a leader in a highly technical and international environment, she values collaboration, diverse perspectives, and creating conditions where individuals and teams can grow and contribute effectively.
Kasia lives with her husband and two daughters in the Geneva area, where she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors with her family.
