Dagmara Słota, PhD, Eng., is an Assistant at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics at the Cracow University of Technology. She graduated in Biotechnology from the same university and completed postgraduate studies Biomaterials – Materials for Medicine at the AGH University. Her doctoral research focused on bioactive composite coatings for medical applications. Her scientific interests include biomaterials and multifunctional composites for bone and osteochondral tissue regeneration, personalised implants, and targeted drug delivery systems. She is a project leader and Ambassador for the Girls to Science programme.
She is the author or co-author of 30 scientific publications, including JCR-indexed papers. Her achievements include conference awards, invention fair medals, and five patent applications. She completed research internships at Comenius University Bratislava and Lancaster University. In 2023 she received the main award in the 13th National Student-Inventor Competition. In 2025, she was named Young Promoter of Poland by the First Lady of the Republic of Poland and recognised in the Rising Star of Engineering category of the Top 10 Women in Engineering initiative.
