Maria Alandes Pradillo is a computer engineer with over 20 years of experience in large-scale distributed computing, currently working at CERN. Her work has spanned key areas of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid, high-performance computing services, and resource accounting systems that support data-intensive scientific research.
Beyond her technical contributions, she is a strong advocate for equal opportunities, diversity, and scientific outreach. She is an active member of the CERN Staff Association, where she contributes to initiatives on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and promotes a more inclusive and collaborative working environment in big science. She is also very active on promoting STEM among young generations through outreach and mentoring.
